A word from the owner and founder of Homestyle world in Stoke on Trent – Adrian Goodwin –  

“Way back in 1985 after leaving school and not really sure what I wanted to do with myself, I took a job in a carpentry workshop. I quickly discovered that I loved joinery and was approached by a partnership of joiners to go and work with them on building sites and peoples homes. I though long and hard about it and eventually decided to go and work for them – I was honest with the owners of the workshop and told them what I wanted to do, and of the offer I had received I learned early on the value of honesty and integrity.  Instead of making windows and door and staircases – I wanted to learn how to install them and loved the idea of working on peoples homes, which I still love to this day.

I continued on with my college education in joinery while working on site, which i loved doing and continued to do so after completing my apprenticeship. It was not until the late 1980s when i first discovered UPVC products – I thought it would never catch on – but to my surprise by the late 90’s it had far surpassed wood and I was well into Installing it myself. After working for several UPVC companies as a young man, i quickly became disillusioned with them because they were after one thing only – MONEY – They charged the customers massively inflated prices and paid the installers peanuts. this meant the customers suffered because of the rush jobs that were being done by the installers. Ultimately I didn’t like the way the customers were being treated. 

In the early 2000’s I began working for myself and was much happier – I was able to do a good job at a fair price and things began picking up, until in 2007 I set up Homestyle world. This was obviously something I wished I had done years before.

Fast forward to present day, my team and I are proud to be delivering great quality work at affordable prices and more importantly helping people avoid rogue traders, which there are unfortunately so many of in my industry.  If you are reading this then I thank you once again for your support and we will continue to work hard as ever to earn your respect and trust and to maintain our reputation as the most honest tradespeople in Stoke on Trent.
